Although the rest of India wants to make it to Goa at least once, people are planning a road trip to Goa and exploring some of the party locations and indulging in what Goa has to offer its visitors. However, an avid traveler is trying to figure out what places to visit near Goa, what to do across the street. Here are some of the places you can visit as a road trip from Goa

  1. Netravali FallsDrive through breathtaking and scenic locations in the middle of rubber plantations, sugar cane fields and deep into the forest to visit the Netravali waterfalls. It is located in the southeast of Goa, near Budbudyanchi Tali, Gopalnath Temple, etc., where you can explore the Netravali Waterfalls during your visit. If you venture deep into the forest regions, you will find another waterfall called Mainapi Waterfall, which offers a picturesque setting and a peaceful location.
  2. Cabo de Rama
    Cabo de Rama is on the southern tip of Goa and is an ancient fortress built by the Portuguese. Explore the region by bike, where you'll discover some of the hidden trails. The location is clearly visible with a row of coconut palms lining the streets, and it has calm blue water that remains untouched.
  3. Diwar and Chorao Islands
    Do you know you can visit islands located near the capital of Goa, Panjim? The islands of Diwar and Chorao are not far from Panjim and you can visit a ferry from Ribandar. Discover the Portuguese influence in this place and absorb the cultures here. Explore the islands, which can be undertaken as a short day trip from Goa.
  4. Ponta de Linares
    Explore the old town of Goa here in Ponta de Linares, a picturesque place with the Mandovi River in the background. If you drive here, you will notice the centuries-old architecture, the dam and the calm waters of the Mandovi River, making it a perfect place for trips.
  5. Parra
    Discover some of the unexplored parts of Goa. Parra is one of the places you must visit. Parra in Goa is one of the most beautiful places to visit. It is known for its natural beauty. I'm pretty sure if you take a drop to Parra you'll park your vehicle and walk a bit to explore the beautiful location on foot. If you are in Parra you should definitely visit the Church of St. Anne and Ganesh Tollam
