UFC Struggle Island: The whole lot you could know

After briefly postponing future events in the spring, UFC CEO Dana White didn't waste time getting the world's biggest fighting league back on line, and promised that this summer the UFC would be the first sport to do it again and that he was preparing a private "Fight Island" as a venue for future fights. White has kept the first promise and now the second will be fulfilled on Saturday July 11th when welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will defend his title against Gilbert Burns at UFC 251 – the first event on the new UFC Fight Island.

The UFC 2020 schedule has been in flux since April, when the ongoing public health crisis has made White reluctant to postpone further fighting. However, it did not take long. UFC 249 occurred about a month after its first postponement, and other events have occurred since then. So far, UFC Fight Island – as White had indicated a few months ago – has finally been fully functional, and UFC 251: Usman vs. Burns is officially the first show to take place in the new venue.

UFC Fight Island is actually not an isolated island in itself, but is located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Yas Island is already home to many popular tourist attractions. In recent months, part of the island has been completely remodeled to make UFC Fight Island a new venue with a beach octagon and other facilities for fighters and staff. UFC 251 is a fitting event to be the first on Fight Island, with two championship matches on the main map and big names like Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, Max Holloway, Alexander Volkanovski and Jose Aldo.

If you're looking for a way to see UFC 251 online, you still need ESPN + – and if you're wondering how to watch UFC online without wires, ESPN + is a must. This premium streaming service is the best way to stream live MMA events (along with reps, analyzes, interviews, press conferences, etc.) thanks to the sports broadcaster's close relationship with the UFC. ESPN + is also the only place where pay-per-view shows such as UFC 251 on July 11th.
