Uplay sign-in errors plague Ubisoft Ahead after they attempt to get Watch Canine 2 totally free

Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft's digital storefront for upcoming games, was plagued by Uplay sign-in issues when viewers attempted to claim the promised free copy of Watch Dogs 2 for PC.

Ubisoft said it would give away free downloads of Watch Dogs 2 to people who would see Ubisoft Forward live. All they had to do was log in with their Uplay account during the transfer. However, this turned out to be a problem because #CANTLOGIN flooded the Twitch and YouTube streams of the virtual event.

In a statement to Eurogamer, Ubisoft said it was aware of the problem and was working to resolve the problem during the live stream.

However, Uplay account holders shouldn't seem to worry that they missed the chance to get a free copy of Watch Dogs 2. Ubisoft has forwarded digital trends to tweets from the official Ubisoft support account, which claims that Ubisoft Forward rewards are even given to viewers who were unable to log in during the event.

The problem with our login services should now be resolved. We thank you for your patience! We will update you with further details about the rewards as soon as possible, even if you were unable to successfully register during the event.
